Little Explorers Program (Ages 4 - 5)
Our Little Explorers program is designed for children ages four and five and prepares students for first grade readiness in a developmentally appropriate way. Through play-based, hands-on learning students build foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, critical thinking, problem solving, and social and emotional growth. Learning is active, joyful, and movement-rich allowing children to explore, create, and discover while developing confidence and a love of learning.
First - Eighth Grade
Our 1st - 8th grade program provides a structured, engaging learning environment that supports homeschool families through core academics, community learning, and hands on exploration. Students are grouped by learning level and developmental stage, allowing them to grow academically while building confidence, curiosity, and responsibility.
Students receive instruction in Math and English (Language Arts) with classes separated by grade level and ability. Students test into their appropriate grade level to ensure they are placed where they can thrive academically. Our English curriculum will cover reading, writing, grammar, and logic.
Foundations provides the framework for deeper thinking, discussion, and long term learning. These sessions are designed to build strong academic habits while encouraging curiosity and thoughtful engagement. Our Foundations classes includes Memory Work using hands-on activity based methods and Socratic Conversations that encourage students to ask questions, think critically, and articulate ideas clearly.
Students participate in monthly Unit Studies, each centered around a single theme or topic. These unit studies integrate multiple subjects to create meaningful, connected learning experiences. Each unit study may include: history and geography, science and STEM, and art and creative projects. Learning is hands on discussion based and designed to help students see how ideas connect across disciplines.
All students are placed into a House at the beginning of the year. Houses remain consistent throughout the year to foster belonging, teamwork, and leadership. House Meetings include monthly projects, service opportunities, team building activities, and group challenges and collaboration. Through house meetings students practice real life skills such as cooperation, responsibility, communication, and leadership in a supportive community setting.
Leadership Program
(Students who have completed 8th grade course work)
Our leadership program is a small, intentional program limited to eight students each year. It is designed for motivated high school aged students who are ready to grow in responsibility, service, and leadership through real-world experience. Admission to the program includes a completed application, a family interview, and an individual student interview.
Upon acceptance, each leadership student is assigned a year-long Job Study that they are responsible for throughout the year. Students are expected to show initiative, follow through, and professionalism as they learn to steward their role well. Each student is paired with a supervisor who provides guidance, feedback, and support. Possible job assignments include: tutor's assistant, director's assistant, administration, worship leader, PE tutor, maintenance, event coordinator, fundraising...
Leadership students are given dedicated time during the program day to complete Independent Academic Work. This allows students to stay focused, manage their workload responsibly, and practice self directed learning.
Students participate in a weekly Leadership Meeting, where they learn not only how to lead, but how to think, ask questions, and explore ideas thoughtfully. Instruction focuses on communication, decision making, responsibility, character, and service.
Leadership students actively apply what they are learning by helping lead and serve within our younger programs. Research consistently shows that one of the most effective ways to deepen understanding is by teaching others, and this program is designed with that principle in mind. In Foundations students assist younger learners with memorization and participate in guided Socratic discussions. In House Meetings, leadership students serve as house leaders (under supervision) guiding students through projects, collaborations, and activities. This hands on Leadership experience allows students to practice leadership in a supportive, mentored environment while also learning.
