At A Thousand Hills, we believe children learn best by doing. Our educational approach is rooted in active engagement, exploring, building, creating, observing, discussing, and discovering. Students are invited into meaningful learning experiences that spark curiosity, deepen understanding, and connect concepts to everyday life.

We strive to teach students how to think, not simply what to think. Through hands-on activities, movement-rich lessons, interactive discussions, and exploration, students gain problem-solving skills, confidence, and ownership in their learning.

A Thousand Hills is a three day drop-off learning program designed to complement your homeschool with structure, community, and shared learning experiences. During program days, students receive instructions from trained tutors who guide lessons, facilitate learning, and assign related work to be completed at home.

As a homeschool tutorial, parents remain the primary educators and are responsible for providing any additional instruction or supplementation as needed, as well as maintaining all legal homeschool requirements

From Our Family to Yours.

A Thousand Hills began in our home, out of a longing we couldn’t quite let go of.

As parents, we wanted a learning environment that was hands-on, engaging, and full of life while also focusing on real understanding. We needed a schedule that protected what mattered most to us as a family—time together to build relationships and make memories while our kids are still in their formative years.

And honestly? We couldn’t find a program that held all of those things together. So instead of trying to force ourselves into something that didn’t quite fit, we built what we were looking for.

Our tutorial is intentionally small and relational. We believe children learn best in communities where students are known and encouraged and where learning engages the whole child - mind, body, and heart. Rooted in faith and guided by purpose, we seek to nurture not only strong learners, but thoughtful, capable, and grounded young people.

This is more than a program we created. It is the learning environment we longed for our own children—and one we feel deeply called to share with other families.

Thank you for taking the time to learn about A Thousand Hills. We would be honored to walk alongside your family as your children grow, learn, and discover who God has created them to be.

With love,

The Lowe's
